Donated Sperm is Used to Help Those Trying for a Child

Sperm donation may help a childless couple, a female couple or a single woman have a child.

Preferred sperm donors are healthy men aged between 20 and 45 without a known family history of serious genetic conditions.

Accepted donors will be reimbursed for their expenses. A donor must agree to the registration of his personal information in the donation register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (VALVIRA). He must also agree to the disclosure of this information, upon request, to the child born as a result of the treatment when he or she reaches the age of 18.
