Temporary and prolonged problems in a person’s sexuality, as well as problems due to trauma, are often strongly reflected in the person’s sex life and thereby in how happy they are with themselves and/or their partner. Sexuality is a very sensitive and difficult area and therefore very susceptible to disturbances. Sexual therapy can take the form of individual and/or couple therapy. It involves a review of the individual’s current situation in life, the status of the relationship, the problems affecting the sex life of the customer and his/her partner, as well as the resources of both the individual and the couple. Sexual therapy uses various approaches depending on the customer’s situation. The therapy is based on discussion, in addition to which a range of exercises are used. Sexual therapy is a journey into the individual’s own sexuality and an understanding thereof, as well as into creative sexual experience and emotion.
