Poranen Anna-Kaisa

I have worked as a gynaecologist for over 20 years, and I have also worked as a fertility doctor for the Family Federation of Finland since 1998 and for Felicitas Mehiläinen’s Turku clinic since 2017. My interests include fertility problems, disorders of the menstrual cycle, painful menstruation, endometriosis, fertility advice and ultrasound examinations of early pregnancy. For fertility treatment, I have been responsible for treatment using donated eggs in addition to the more common ovulation induction, insemination and IVF treatments.
My doctoral thesis, which was completed in 1997, dealt with preeclampsia. In 1997–1998, I spent a year at Oxford as a post-doc researcher.
