Kaukoranta Seija

I graduated as a doctor from the University of Turku. I specialised in gynaecological diseases and childbirth in Helsinki and obtained a specialist’s qualification in 1993. After this, I worked at Hyvinkää and Peijas hospitals until I took up a position at the fertility clinic of the Family Federation of Finland. I eventually went back to Helsinki Women’s Hospital and gained a qualification in gynaecological endocrinology in 2000.
While working at the Family Federation of Finland, I did practical work as part of many international scientific studies on infertility. I am particularly interested in male infertility.
I welcome anyone who has not got pregnant within the desired period of time and also those who wish to know about their own fertility.
I treat general gynaecological patients at Mehiläinen Tapiola and also at Felicitas, e.g. menstrual disorders, contraception, early pregnancy ultrasound examination (7–8 weeks) and problems related to menopause.
